Driven by a passion for both the arts and academia, Lauren has broad career experience across education, the entertainment industry, and management.

Lauren is currently Academic Program Leader of the Entertainment Management Bachelor Degree at the Australian Institute of Music.  Following over a decade of vocal coaching and group music direction, Lauren works in the subject areas of Business Planning, Organisational Behaviour and Managing Creativity. 


Lauren is also a a signed artist, performing as both vocalist and DJ, and has worked with some of the industry's finest electronic music producers and local musicians.

Lauren is both the eternal student and teacher: Years of her own tertiary and music training include Sound Engineering, Jazz and Small Business Management Diplomas; a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and Philosophy; and more recently, a Masters in Arts Management.

Patrick’s core passions are creativity, technology, and education; bringing them together to develop innovative solutions to learning and teaching. He believes that creativity is the skill of the future, “to solve 21st century problems, we need creative, innovative, and critical thinkers across all industries”. 

Patrick has been actively involved in the creative arts for over 20 years, having written music for TV and screen, including Channel 10’s The Project, with recent traction in tertiary education and interactive learning. This experience includes senior management roles and CEO and founder of River Road Interactive Learning.

Patrick is currently Program Manager for Curriculum and Blended Learning at The Australian Institute of Music.

After completing an Advanced Diploma in Digital Media, Hannah commenced her first role as Agent Assistant at Lisa Mann’s Creative Management, she then continued with NIDA’s Open Program before joining the team at AIM,

Paul is a critically acclaimed theatre practitioner, teacher and scholar. He has taught at AIM since 2009 across Music Theatre Performance, History and Theory units. As an educator and performer he has worked for Sydney Children's Choir, Gondwana National Choirs, Macquarie University and NIDA. Musical Direction credits include Man of La Mancha, The Drowsy Chaperone and [title of show] along with new writing projects for Parnassus' Den, New Musicals and Playwriting Australia. He has worked on numerous productions here at AIM including Lucky Stiff, Into the Woods (which he re-orchestrated), Urinetown, Selections from LOVEBiTES and Nine.

 

He spent three years in residence at The Deckhouse Restaurant and Cabaret Theatre in Maine, U.S.A. and time away on tour with Side by Side By Sondheim, Al Jolson Sings Again, Beaconsfield: The Musical (in the coveted role of Beryl) and the Australia Council production of Every Single Saturday. As a pianist and vocal coach he has worked privately and for many major and independent production companies including Squabbalogic, Darlinghurst Theatre, The Hayes, STC and Wicked Australia. He has an A.Mus.A in Piano and a PhD in English Literature with a thesis on the work of Stephen Sondheim.

Carol is directly responsible for the management of the day to day organisation and operations of the AIM Melbourne campus.

With over 11 years’ experience in the education sector, Carol has found success by actively cultivating environments that empower students and staff to think outside the box, view obstacles as challenges, expand their horizons, and ultimately achieve the goals they have set for themselves. With a Post Graduate Certificate of Strategic Leadership, Carol has provided executive vision and strategic direction to a ten-campus institution that offers flexible pathways to achieve certificates, diplomas, and university degrees. Carol has established a reputation as a transformational leader who is driven by challenge, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to furthering standards of excellence. She has received many awards including an Outstanding Leadership award.
