His playing has been described by the Sydney Morning Herald as "ravishing", pianist Matt McMahon has received almost all of Australia's most prestigious jazz awards, including the Freedman and National Jazz Award. One of Australia's most in-demand and accomplished pianists, his compositional work has been celebrated by audiences and critics alike. An active collaborator with the likes of Vince Jones, Phil Slater and Dale Barlow. His longstanding trio and close collaborators Jono Brown and Simon Barker have developed an astounding synergy over twenty years performing together.
