Introducing the AIM Hackathon

For the first time in ARIA’s history, a Hackathon will feature as part of ARIA Week, run by the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) with $5,000 in cash prizes on the line for the most innovative ideas in the industry. The event is open to anyone with an idea they’ve always dreamt of bringing to life, with entrants invited to build prototype services, products and applications that just might change the music industry itself in years to come.

What's involved?

Industry partners are invited to submit repertoire, data sets and other elements that could form the basis of an innovative prototype, to Stephen Hunt, who is collating a sandbox for the event.

The competing teams will be given 2 weeks to develop their ideas with support from experienced mentors, culminating in a Demo Day on November 24th where the participants will pitch their ideas to an esteemed panel of successful founders who will judge the winners.

If that’s not enough to get you excited, AIM has a HUGE announcement to make at the Demo Day, which will be a COVID safe live event and broadcast as part of ARIA Week - so don’t miss it!
