Many bands and artists have formed at AIM over the last 50 years and gone on to find success both domestically and overseas. One such band who are on the rise is Melbourne 6-piece Tempus Sun – blending driving indie rock with soaring vocals they have gone from strength to strength since forming in 2016.

Tempus Sun line up is rounded out by a mixture of current AIM Melbourne Students and Alumni: Ed Borromeo, Grant Hardisty, Sean Close, Liam Purser, Andrew Wortes and Köda (Alex Smirneos).

Their songs and live performances have received praise from the media and industry alike including taking out both the Melbourne Music Bank Competition and Listen up Australia’s Top Ten Night Song writing Competition in 2016. Collectively their songs gave got over 22,000 streams on Spotify and praised by Triple J hosts Declan Byrne, Bridget Hustwaite and Claire Mooney who praised their song Gold - “It hits all the right spots, it's catchy and the song writing is a beautiful piece of art.”
