If you’ve been thinking about a career in music or the performing arts now’s the time to apply for The Australian Institute of Music 2019 intake! Positions are limited and auditions close on the 31st of January, 2019.
Whether it’s performing, producing or managing, The Australian Institute of Music has been kickstarting careers in the music and performing arts industries for over fifty years now and has all the tools, knowledge and experience you’ll need to succeed in your career.

Has made appearances in national and international tours of Wicked, Les Misérables, West Side Story and a recent headline performance in My Fair Lady. She now mixes theatre touring performances with contracted appearances for Opera Australia.

ARIA and APRA Award winning songwriter, producer and musician. Alex has written for artists such as Tina Arena, Guy Sebastian and Broods.
- Alex Hope - Senior Secondary College Graduate
Jackson Christie is a Sony Music A&R Rep, responsible for scouting and signing artists, as well as overseeing and assisting with the recording process, from organising writing sessions to delivering the mastered audio file.
During his time at Sony, he has worked with artists such as GRAACE, Carmouflage Rose, Cosmo’s Midnight, Peking Duk and several others.

Audio Engineer who has worked with B-52's, John Scofield, Chris Potter, Ron Carter, Paul Gilbert, David Bowie, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, ORF Orchestra, Bollywood star Udit Narayan, Coldplay's David Eggar and many others.
- Luca Bruegger - Bachelor of Music (Audio) Graduate
One of Australia’s up and coming professional keyboard players, working locally and overseas with Ricki Lee Coulta, Vera Blue, the McClymonts and Boy George.
- Andrew Geraghty - Bachelor of Music (Contemporary) Graduate
In 2017 Maria received her third Best Composer Award (SFS) and moved into Church Street Studios.
Maria is currently composing the music for Genna Chanelle Hayes’ feature film Akoni, as well as sound design for Hilary Bell’s new adaption of Molière’s The Hypochondriac (dir. Jo Turner/Darlinghurst Theatre Company).

Paris Jeffree has performed and toured internationally with Australian artists since 2015 playing at globally recognised music festivals such as Splendour in the Grass, Glastonbury, Coachella, and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
In early 2016, Paris became The Avalanches’ live drummer. She has toured with The Avalanches extensively over the last 2 years and continues to.

As the lead singer of Sydney based band, Bootleg Rascal, Carlos Lara has embarked on many a world tour playing in UK, France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, The United States, Canada and New Zealand.
They have also supported the likes of Sticky fingers, Ocean ally, Daryl Braithwaite, The Black Seeds, Kingswood, Camouflage Rose and the Delta Riggs.
- Carlos Lara - Bachelor of Entertainment Management
Elizabeth Riordan is a songwriter for Universal Music Publishing globally.
Her song ‘I’m In Love With You’ won the 2017 Mark Award for ‘Best Production Music Track - Vocal’ and is featured in the Netflix series ‘Cable Girls’.
