Reasonable Adjustments

Beginning your studies at AIM can be a time of great change and for some, uncertainty.

AIM supports reasonable adjustments for students with a diagnosed physical or mental impairment, ensuring equal access to education for everyone.
 
How to Apply:
Students can apply by completing a registration form, accessible on the SharePoint Student Life page under ‘Student Wellbeing’.
 
Your GP, Counsellor, Psychologist or treating specialist will need to complete this form in full.
 
Once completed, please send it to Student.Wellbeing@aim.edu.au. In the email subject line, please write “EAP Registration” and include your full name and student number.
 
Once we receive your form, a member of our team will contact you to arrange an appointment. In this appointment, we will discuss your needs in greater depth and review the information you have provided.
 
NOTE: If you know you need adjustments, it is advised that you arrange an appointment with your current treatment provider in advance (before trimester starts) to ensure adjustments are implemented at the start of your studies.
 
In certain cases, we may require additional medical documentation from the treating practitioner outlining the details and diagnosis of your condition in order to be considered.
