How long does it take to complete?
2 years
How many days of face-to-face teaching time are there? Part-time enrolment involves spending (on average) one Friday and one Saturday every four weeks
attending a seminar. The total commitment in terms of seminar attendance is 22 days in Year 1,
and 20 days in Year 2, though note below that significant additional work must be undertaken to
satisfy the requirements of the degree. Additional face-to-face time is also available to students for
Major Project guidance.
How many hours a week does it require? It is anticipated that students will devote 15 to 20 hours per week averaged over the course of
their enrolment. This will be required for seminar work (preparation, attendance and assessment
tasks), as well as work on the Major Project. Students in the workforce are encouraged to examine
opportunities for making their research project or business plan relevant to their employer, thus
increasing the prospect of employer support. The Major Project must be submitted during the
student’s final seminar.
What does it cost?
AUS $28,000. This fee is around 40% lower than some Australian MBA programs.
What financial assistance is available? Go to FEE-HELP
for local students. Part-time students are also encouraged to explore opportunities for employer support. Many
assessment exercises allow students to apply theoretical principles to real world opportunities in
the student’s workplace. The course is designed to support an increase in employee performance and
to help employees create business outcomes for employers.
How do I apply?

Do I need to ‘book’ places in individual seminars with my Application? Yes. Part-time students must select on the Application Form the individual modules they wish to
attend. The first module is compulsory. Students must choose an additional
five ‘core’ modules in the first Semester, and in their second Semester a Major Project option and
four elective modules. It is necessary to specifically register in each module to ensure your place
is reserved before it is opened up to outside attendance. When choosing your study program note the program Prerequisite Rules listed on
page 11 of the brochure.
