Semester 1 2008 has seen some exciting developments for AIM students. For the first time ever, we are able to offer our students the opportunity to have their songs published direct with Shock Music Publishing, one of Australia’s leading publishers. This is a unique arrangement with Shock Music and is offered specifically to students of AIM, who can submit original songs for consideration on a variety of television programs, movie soundtracks, dvd’s and advertising, as well as for higher profile artists looking for songs to record and perform.

Shock Music Publishing was formed to fill a void in the Australian Music Publishing domain for songwriters and artists wanting the specialised, personal service of a truly independent publisher, whilst still being part of a major force in the music business. Part of the Shock Entertainment Group, Shock Music Publishing signed it’s first writer in 1993 and has been growing ever since, working with some of Australia’s best, new songwriting talent and nurturing and developing them for local and international success.

Students of AIM can submit their songs to Shock for publishing, and if chosen for use, can enter into an agreement with Shock, for the time they are studying at AIM.
