Research indicates that children who are exposed to music and are musically trained display a higher IQ and achieve greater results academically. Excellence in music education is essential - and for children it is critical. I am excited to be the Head of the Young AIMS program as it is a world class program for young musicians aged between 18 months and 18 years. The Australian Institute of Music is an institution where each individual student's love of music, and potential, is nurtured and developed.

Young AIMS program has two streams: Solo AIMS and Ensemble AIMS. Solo AIMS offer students individual music lessons in a wide range of instruments and also in musicianship. Ensemble AIMS provides group music tuition in both academic and practical areas. Young AIMS students have on offer a comprehensive program of practical and academic music pursuits, in addition to weekly performance opportunities.
