Geoff Rana graduated from the Bachelor of Music Contemporary Performance at AIM in 2008, and is also happens to be the lead singer and one of two founding members of rock band ‘The Jefferson’, who originally formed at AIM. The band is currently recording their debut album release, a studio recording being produced by Craig Porteils, otherwise known for his work with artists such as Guns n Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll.

The Jefferson were also recently featured on the best new music site www.ourstage.com, coming 3^rd in the pop category, were top 10 in the www.mysongcast.com song competition, winning a month of promotion on facebook and a review from Universal Music. They have also had recent airplay on a top 10 radio station in the USA with their song ‘Running’, and are busy building their live following. They also won a Triple M prize recently, allowing them to go into the studio and turn their EP into an Album.
