'A Day In The Life' of a Music Theatre student is designed to give those people thinking about studying Music Theatre, an insider's look at the course, students and staff of the Australian Institute of Music, through a 'hands on' experience.
The day will include:
An ACTING CLASS - with warm ups, scene work and voice over recording in studio A MASTER CLASS - covering how to choose a song, exam preparation, piano/vocal scores, vocal technique, working with accompanist, researching Musicals, developing the character and appropriate stylistic delivery. A CONCERT PRAC - with performances by Music Theatre students in the AIM Concert Hall. You will get the opportunity to watch students self devised works, performance studies ensemble, staged, choreographed and duet performances. Plus meet staff & students - ask the questions you've always wanted to ask about studying Music Theatre.
