Current X Factor competitors 'Fred-Day' Ashton, Sophia and Joseph Gatehau, who together form The X Factor trio known as Three Wishez, began when the group first formed in early 2011 at ‘The Australian Institute of Music (AIM)’. The students, who have all studied in AIM's Bachelor of Music degree program, are established performers individually, but at AIM, discovered that the sum of their three voices was a force to be reckonned with, as they each brought something special to the group.
Joseph Gatehau - a well known RnB vocalist, guitarist and dancer, brings his knowledge of musicianship and harmony to the group. His smooth sounds and strong falsetto, allows Joseph to perform a range of musical styles.
Sophia - a soulful pop vocalist and dancer, brings her love of different genres to the group. Combining the vocal prowess of Beyoncé, the genre-hopping sounds of Jessie J and the feisty attitude of P!nk, Sophia hopes to send a message to viewers that not only are 'Three Wishez' strong singers but strong performers as well.
Having developed a strong buzz in the underground and on the Web, Fred-Day's lyrical rhymes ‘tells it as it is’. This humble singer-rapper prefers to focus on the important things in life and lets his real talent talk for itself.
