CONTEMPORARY PERFORMANCE
POST-GRADUATE / MASTERS DEGREE SUMMARY
Post Graduate music programs are designed for individuals who:
- Are music graduates wanting to focus on the development of more sophisticated skills and knowledge.
OR - Are graduates and wish to develop specialist music skills
1. Major Study (b-e):
a) individual lesson each week and end-semester performance examination
b) Masterclass attendance and participation
c) Performance Studies (individual or ensemble)
d) Concert Practice attendance and participation
e) At conclusion of Major Study E: examination via public performance

* Over 4 semesters, Masters students undertake 2 main streams:
2: Four Electives (Special Projects 1-4 Coursework) ie: one per semester.
In consultation with supervisor, these can include a recording, research, transcription or analysis project.
Graduate Pathway Overview

Candidates may enter the Graduate Certificate of Music under various arrangements, such as:
• from a Bachelor degree, with relevant professional practice experience if from a non-music degree
• from an Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher-level vocational Certificate together with extensive relevant work experience, or
• on the basis of extensive relevant work experience demonstrating potential to undertake study at this level.
• with regards to English language skills we have AIM wide English language criteria for overseas students.: minimum IELTS score of 6.
