NSW Higher School Certificate
Years 11 & 12
Course length: 2 years
The Higher School Certificate is based on requirements set by the NSW Board of Studies, and allows students to obtain an HSC while preparing for a vocation in music or audio engineering by providing a musical environment in which to complete their senior education, and by the integration of the HSC and the VET Certificate Program.
In order to qualify for the award of HSC students need to complete 12 units in the Preliminary year (year 11), and 10 in the HSC year (year 12). In both years, the accompanying Certificate Program contributes 4 units. To obtain a UAI (University Admissions Index), students must elect 10 units in the HSC year from Board Developed Courses only.
Entry Requirements: Interview and NSW School Certificate or equivalent; English IELTS 5.5 for international Students.
Students choose subjects from the table below. Please note must study English/ESL, and Music. The remaining courses are electives
