Nothing beats performing in front of a live audience. As a student of AIM or AADA you will have ample opportunities to perform. AIM has a 280 seat concert hall and two 60-70 seat performance spaces, in addition to the 80 seat intimate atmosphere of the Pilgrim Theatre where most of our AADA shows take place.
Large Concert Hall | The John Painter Hall (JPH)

The JPH is our primary performance space, and seats up to 280 people when at full capacity. The JPH is an in-house venue which gives students the opportunity to hone the craft of live performance to a live audience. AIM students regularly perform in front of staff, peers, industry reps and the general public in weekly performance classes, ensemble nights, graduating recitals, showcase events and musicals. The JPH has seen some of AIM's most finest young talent on stage, and will continue to be home to the emerging artists of Contemporary, Music Theatre, Classical and Stage performers.
Basement and 'The Space' These two venues are our smaller more initimate performance spaces. The Basement has a classy intimate feel about it, and can be seen from the main street. It is also directly connected to Q Studios, so that live performances can be recorded. It seats approximately 60-70 people, and provides more opportunity for students to hone their craft in a small venue atmosphere, as does 'The Space', situated adjacent to the Student Cafe and lounge area of Building B.
