Featuring the exceptional talents of AIM students across all departments.

This year's Showcase will take audiences on a musical cultural journey. 

Starting back in 1968, the year the iconic musical Hair opened on Broadway, the Showcase will begin by re-visiting the disco and rock years of the seventies, and will evoke the musical and cultural styles of this period.

The concert will also present a classical music selection acknowledging the opening of the Sydney Opera House in 1974, the social and musical impact of the Vietnam war, and the deaths of Elvis Presley and John Lennon.

As music trends evolved into the eighties, homage will be paid to the emergence of world music, the UK punk scene, and Michael Jackson’s global anthem ‘We Are The World’.

The show will then reach a resounding finale section of new music theatre, hip hop and rock to wind things up.
