2008 is a benchmark year for the Australian Institute of Music. Forty years since we opened our doors to train and educate people for a career in the music industry. In August, our second official OPEN DAY of the year will be an opportinity to let your ears decide about the value of studying music at AIM.

Designed to provide a glimpse into our facilities, features and educational offerings, the day will be packed full with course information and experiences to be had for those thinking about studying music and, and for those curious to know just what goes on inside the leading school for today's music industry. 

* This Open day will also feature a panel of music industry professionals discussing what it takes to make it in the music industry today. See program above for more details. Further panelists soon to be announced.

There will be free master classes and workshops facilitated by some of AIM’s excellent teaching crew, and select live music will take place in our 280 live venue. Qstudios will be open with a regular courtesy vehicle to take you from the main campus for a tour of our state-of-the-art recording facilities. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet and chat with AIM Heads of Departments, and it will also be a great opportunity to check out our High School program, Open AIM short courses and Young AIM music courses.
