Certificate II in Music Industry (CUS20109)
This exciting new certificate course will run from 2011 and is available to all new students enrolling in AIM Senior Secondary College. The course contains six modules of study and centers around an introduction to vital facets of music study.
Modules include;
- Instrumental Major
- Music Technology
- Performance Studies
- Music Industry Studies,
- Concert Practice
- Theory and Aural
Students will develop skills in both performance and technology.
Nationally Recognized
This certificate contains nationally recognized units of competency, developed using Australian Quality Framework guidelines.
Part of the HSC
The Certificate II in Music (CUS20109) contributes three points towards the preliminary year of study and the course is endorsed by the NSW Board of Studies.
Duration
Designed to run in conjunction with the normal NSW DET school calendar, Certificate II in Music (CUS20109) runs over thirty-three weeks in the preliminary year (year 11) and is completed by the end of term 3.
Weekly Pattern of Study
Students engage in learning activities for 6.5 hours per week, running Monday to Friday.
