Entry Requirements

Applicants to our postgraduate Music programs are required to provide evidence of:  

  • A Bachelor of Music Degree, or  
  • A non-music Bachelor Degree and have relevant musical professional practice experience. 

Applicants are required to attend an interview or live audition or provide a portfolio of two live or recorded music performances.

Applicants are required to provide an up-to-date curriculum vitae and cover letter outlining their background and motivations for postgraduate study.

 

Applicants to our postgraduate Music programs are required to provide evidence of:

Dr. Mark Oliveiro

Dr Mark Oliveiro is a graduate and distinguished alumnus of the Sydney Conservatorium, the College of Music, the University of North Texas and the School of Music of Indiana University. As well as working as an academic lecturer at AIM, Mark is a composer with diverse extra-musical interests including history, mythology and ancient literature.

Dr. Veronica Stewart

A passionate singer and educator, Vee Stewart has worked alongside elite musicians, including Grammy award winner David Pack, Grammy award-nominated Jazz pianist Patrice Rushen (Temptations, Chaka Khan, Babyface), and Grammy award-winning producer and drummer, Ricky Lawson (Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Brian McKnight).

Matt Bruce

Matt Bruce is a violinist and concertmaster who has worked professionally in the Australian music industry for over 30 years. Matt has been a member of the world-renowned Australian Brandenburg Orchestra since 1992, which he has led as Resident Concertmaster and Associate Concertmaster) since 2013.
