AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ART

Bachelor of Performance Conversion Course

Converting Drama Courses to a Bachelor of Performance

Be one of the first working actors in Australia to graduate with this unique qualification.

Convert your existing acting school qualification to a Bachelor degree in one year of full-time study while adding diverse and practical skills to your craft.

From Advanced Diploma to Bachelor Degree

The Australian Academy of Dramatic Art invites AADA Alumni and graduates from other drama schools to upgrade their drama course qualifications to a Bachelor of Performance through our unique Degree Conversion Course while gaining practical skills to create and produce your own work in the independent theatre drama scene.

Graduates who completed an Advanced Diploma at AADA or another Australian theatre school, acting school or drama school in the last 5 years are eligible to apply. AADA has received interest for the Conversion Course from drama graduates of Actors Centre Australia (ACA), Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT), ACArts (Adelaide), National Theatre Drama School (Melbourne), and the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Perth).

Duration
At AADA we offer 3 academic semesters per calendar year. The Bachelor of Performance Conversion Course can be completed in a minimum of 3 fulltime semesters (one year), allowing you to then advance into the Bachelor of Performance degree.

Why Do This Course?

  •     conceive, create and perform a new work in a Performance Program

  •     develop an online presence as a theatre making / performance graduate
  •     connect with the performing arts industry via the Placement Program

  •     complete a degree in preparation for graduate study in Australia or overseas
