Bachelor of Performance - Unique Education for the Actor | Creator | Producer

Jessica Wallace
"AADA changed both the way I viewed theatre and the world around me. It broadened my view on life and taught me invaluable lessons in many disciplines. The intensity of practical education meant that I was learning on the job rather than from textbooks. AADA staff and guest lecturers are all industry professionals, and have ensured me a great deal of industry contacts and opportunities."
Jessica Wallace: Graduate, Bachelor of Performance, Australian Academy of Dramatic Art

A Unique Bachelor of Performance Degree

Incorporating elements of an acting course & delivered over 2 years, this degree extends the mainstream acting school approach to education with diverse, unique professional training both as an individual and an ensemble member. Students learn the multiple skills required for an independent career in the performing arts.

This Sydney based theatre course provides professional training by nurturing the talent, technique & temperament of the performer, creator, actor & producer both as individuals & ensemble members. Much more than an acting school, students learn to embrace the multiple skills required for an independent career in the performing arts.

Course Length: Six semesters (2 years full time).
Semesters 1 and 2 are the Foundation Stage
Semesters 3 to 6 are the Industry Stage

Performance Program

The Performance Program is the culmination of the work undertaken in each semester of the theatre teaching Program. Performances range from in-house presentations during the Foundation Stage to public performances during the Industry Stage.

The Performance Program is presented in the two-week examination period at the end of each semester. This is both an exciting and demanding time for the student. It requires greater and more flexible hours based on a formal Production Schedule.
