This partnership is specifically for theatre performance graduates from AADA seeking to qualify as a Secondary College drama school teacher. Graduates of the Bachelor of Performance may enter the programs at the Australian Catholic University as double drama majors.
In recent years, demand for drama teachers in New South Wales’ schools has increased considerably. In response to this demand, the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art (AADA), as a department of the Australian Institute of Music (AIM), has launched an exciting new initiative with the Australian Catholic University (ACU).
The Pathway to Drama Teaching is a partnership created specifically for theatre performance graduates from AADA acting school seeking to qualify as a secondary school drama teacher. Graduates of the Bachelor of Performance enter the programs at the Australian Catholic University with Drama as one of their two needed teaching areas.
