This year’s Best of AIM CDs bring together the remarkable skills of many of the music departments at AIM.

From the contributions of talented musicians from the Contemporary, Classical and Music Theatre departments and the creativity of the Composition and Music Production students, to the final mixes created by students and mentors in the Audio department, the CDs are a truly collaborative work.

These songs represent a mix of student and graduate talent. It highlights the opportunities students have to record and engineer, whilst studying at AIM. The production team was led by Jamie Rigg, Greg White, Julian Gough, Jason De Wilde and Patrick Nellestein. The producers would like to thank all the performers, accompanists, teachers, engineers and assistants for their spirited work.

Specific mention to: Greg Simmons, Scotty Henderson, Beau Sherrard, Richard Hundy, Tim Walker, Cameron Hissey and Javier Garcia for their excellent ears and expertise in engineering and mixing the tracks. For their work on specific tracks and in helping to develop AIM talent was Dr Ian Bofinger, Jennifer Murphy, Elizabeth Jones, Arax Mansourian, Paul Thorne, David Plenty, Duncan Brown, Daniel Wallace-Crabbe, Mark Johns, Peter Rutherford and Rex Goh.

A big thanks to all the students for their beautiful voices, cool guitar licks, bass riffs, drum grooves, percussion hits, horn stabs and solos.
