Richard Hundy

Richard Hundy

Production Coordinator - Audio

Richard comes to AIM with first class honours in Audio Technology. Richard has been a musician for over 25 years, in addition to his expertise and experience as an engineer and producer. He has recorded everything from classical, to rock and  jazz, and also has extensive experience as a live engineer. Richard has worked previously with the Sydney Theatre Company and Bell Shakespeare, and brings an eclectic understanding of music and audio technology to the Institute.

Scott Saunders

Production Coordinator - Composition

Scott has 30 years experience in music as a performer, composer, producer and educator. He studied music at the University of WA where he performed with the Gamelan Orchestra then started a punk/pop band. He has played and recorded with a diverse range of acts including The Reels, Yothu Yindi and Dale Barlow. Scott is best known as a founding member of the JazzFunk band dig (directions in groove) which enjoyed considerable success in Australia and Internationally throughout the ‘90s. dig were signed to theprestigious Verve label and acheived a Gold record, 2 ARIA Award  nominations, a MO award, and 2APRA awards. dig toured extensively in Australia and overseas playing at Jazz Festivals including Montreaux, Vienna, and The North Sea, and venues such as London’s Jazz Café, and Boogaloo in Berlin to enthusiastic audiences and critical acclaim. Since dig his work with Multiball, and D’s on the Two has enhanced his reputation at the cutting edge where jazz meets  electronica and deep dance grooves. Scott also writes and produces music and sound design for Film, Television, Theatre and Radio, and has over 30 credits including several award winning internationally screened documentaries. He recently produced Elana Kats-Chernin’s score for a feature documentary using AIM’s Q studio and student engineers. He has also worked as an educator for over 20 years starting at Long Bay Jail and then EORA TAFE the Aboriginal visual and performing arts college. He has also run workshops at Bondi Wave and been involved in Community music projects.

Jenny Game

Contemporary Performance Coordinator

Jenny is a composer, saxophonist and educator. Her compositions have been performed by a variety of ensembles at festivals & broadcast on radio & TV. Since 1996 she has led her own ensemble which performs contemporary, intercultural and jazz compositions. The Jenny Game Ensemble has been invited to perform at festivals & concerts throughout Australia including The Melbourne International Jazz Festival, The Wangaratta International Jazz Festival, The Manly Jazz Festival, The ArmadaleColours of Jazz Festival and others. In 1998, the ensemble toured Australia’s east coast and released Seven Seas and Jacinta’s Song in 2004. She has taught at Universities & TAFE colleges in Melbourne & Sydney & is currently completing an intercultural chamber opera as part her PhD at the UWS.

Sam Mudie

Sam Mudie

Contemporary Performance Coordinator

Sam began playing guitar at age 9, studying privately and also completing an Associate Diploma of music at AIM in 1995. He was a founding member of the nine piece band “Hipnosis” performing, coordinating and arranging a wide cross section of music from 1992 to 2002 in venues, corporate functions and weddings in a full time capacity. Since 1990 Sam has been teaching guitar privately, in Secondary Schools and Community Colleges in both one to one and group settings. In 2006 he completed his Bachelor of Music as a mature age student at AIM. Sam has also been involved in writing and arranging original music. Most recently one of his compositions was featured in a short film that was selected in the final round of the Academy affiliated short film festival “Flickerfest.”

Andrew Walton

Andrew Walton

Contemporary Performance Coordinator

Andrew is a vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and performer, and joins the contemporary performance staff in 08, having completed honours in Contemporary Performance in 2006. Andrew is currently writing and performing his originals in the Andy Walton Band, and also picked up session work fronting the house band on The Footy Show on Channel 9 during 2007. He is currently planning and writing for a new album, and his voice can also be heard on various TV commercials. Andrew is a talented artist, a regular on the Sydney live circuit, making him a great asset to contemporary performance.
