The Australian Institute of Music is situated in the heart of Surry Hills in Sydney, the cosmopolitan capital of Australia. With its inspiring music scene Sydney caters to all musical tastes from eclectic, hidden bands to the major festivals and overseas touring artists. Our location offers everything you would expect of inner city life - vibrant cafés, pubs, fashion, lifestyle shopping and a fantastic range of cheap restaurants. We are also easily reached by all major transport including trains and buses and in close proximity to a range of comfortable and affordable accommodation options.

Apart from an awesome location, our campus itself is unique, comprising two locations. Here at AIM, we are much more than just classrooms. On the first floor of the main student entrance is our central student lounge area, we have a 250+ seat fully equpped live venue called the John Painter Hall (seen below), where we hold regular live performance and showcases. We have the amazing Qstudios recording facility, a 12 minute walk from the main campus. We also have the Pilgrim Theatre at 262 Pitt St, where many of our great theatre performances from AADA take place on a regular basis. 

So from backstage to on-stage, from the studio to the classroom, the AIM campus & programs allow you to develop the confidence & skills needed for the realities of todays music industry.
