AIM 2008 Revamped
a whole NEW look for a whole NEW era
Welcome back...

Upgrades
Here at AIM we are on the constant journey of making sure we are at the top of our game, so that you the student can graduate with the best qualification, training and experience in music education possible.
So while most of us had the privilege of a few days off over the break, there has been a stream of activity here on campus at AIM, with paint, flooring, sound proofing and comfy couches flying left right and centre. For those students returning in 2008, the difference will be quite remarkable, tell us what you think. For those new students beginning for the first time in 08, you can be assured that the AIM facilities of 07 have been well and truly revamped for your comfort & benefit in 08. It's a whole new look for a whole new era.
New website
For those who dont know, our website has also undergone a major reconstruction and we will be continuing to bring you an up to date stream of communication and information online, so check back regularly.
Celebrations & Events
This year we celebrate 40 years of AIM, 25 years of AADA and 80 years for the Pilgrim Theatre. A follow up studio recording is in the planning after a successful debut 'BEST OF' 2007 cd. Our second Major Showcase Event will take place in May, Soul Food lunchtime concerts will be resuming on Fridays from Feb, we have our Sunday Classical Concert series at the NSW Art Gallery and gigs at St Andrews Cathedral. It is quite literally happening all over town. Check out the LIVE Events page for more.
On the academic front
We now have a partnership in place with the Australian Catholic University, whereby graduates of our Bachelor of Music can automatically transfer across to the Masters of Education for a music teaching qualification. In addition to this we will be offering a Diploma of Audio this year.
We have String and Brass scholarships on offer in both Contemporary and Classical.
The AIM library
...has a new online system in place for this year, to make your study and research a whole lot more streamlined.
We are continuing our relationship with Billy Hydes Music, to provide AIM students with some of the best deals around when it comes to instruments and music accessories, and keep your eyes peeled for some tasty Apple computer deals in the near future.
You may even see a new face or two around campus on the staff front.
So, the scene is set for a BIG year. Work hard, play hard, and most of all, ENJOY your time here at AIM.
All the best for 2008.
