Building Links with High Schools The Australian Institute of Music has worked hard to build strong links with High Schools throughout NSW and Australia. Through our many live events, Open Days and Teacher focussed Information events, AIM provides many opportunities for High Schools to interact and take advantage of our services.
Free Performances for Schools Through one of our many 'Soulfood' free entry performances, especially designed with High School relevance in mind. Schools can book in to bring students on campus, to experience a live performance from some of our most talented tertiary students & tour of the campus facilities.
High School Relevant Content Using entertainment to educate, AIM can assist your students in the development of their understanding about the concepts of music and of music as an art form, through experiencing performances presented in their cultural and historical context. AIM also provides the opportunity to enhance your student’s skills to evaluate music critically, and can also integrate Music 1 and 2 for High School students.
Give your Students a Glimpse of Performing Arts Tertiary Study Bringing your students to an AIM event is an excellent opportunity for students studying music electives and HSC music to gain insight into the richness of a variety of genres, music theory and history. It can also assist students who are considering a future in music, to discover what it is like to study music and performing arts at a tertiary level.
